Well...I have heard that they have quirky little antics...but I didn't realise how bad....I got home today after being out for about 4 hours to only find 3 out of 4 in the tank....looked EVERYWHERE....till I spotted one in the filter....resting on its side in about an inch of water......

GRRR

suffice it to say that option has now been covered up so it can't happen again!!

Silly fish!!

This pic only shows 3...there is one that likes to hide a lot....perhaps also the one that tried to escape through the filter

nice loaches chook!

they are cheeky little fish arn't they :fun:

Great loaches. I love clowns. They're so funny  One of mine manged to fit himself under a bit of bogwood and I swear the gap was only about 1/2cm, they are 6 inch loaches too!!! Enjoy their antics, you'll love them!!

Be very, very carefull. I lost my first batch of 3 clown loaches due to a tank crash and inexperience. They are more susceptible to ammonia/nitrite then other fish, and they require less medication when they do get sick. They're scaleless fish I think.

Oooooooh......... NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Birthday is this Saturday and I'm asking my hubby for 3 Crown Roaches (FM ;) ) for my present :*)

* wonders if hubby is actually stupid enough NOT to get them *

Yes I have heard this also. They are currently in quarantine awaiting addition to my 75gallon tank...with a mature filter snd the like. By the time they go into the 75gall tank it will have been cycled for 5 months. Yes, they are scaleless fish...apparently with medicating, you add what you would add for baby fish (which I have plenty of!!!)....

Thanks everyone for the comments....

Arashi....I can guarantee more pictures once I move them to the 75....it is hard getting photos of them at the moment as the quarantine tank they are in is at ground level and has no light...hence very awkward...I will do what I can though, just for you :shifty:

I "think" I have made the tank escape proof....meaning all conceivable gaps of any size are covered up with various items from around the house....they were alone for 9 hours today and none of them were in the filter when I got home....unlike last night where three managed to get themselves in there through a very small gap and were quite angry at me when I put them back in the tank...little buggers liked it in the filter :sly:

I have 3 clown loaches in my tank and they are wonderful little guys (or gals!). I havent had any problems with them trying to escape they seem to love the rock formations that i've made as there are some nice little natural caves etc.

Would they really jump out of holes in the tank hood? Mine have never even tried I don't think.

Ben
