Fish Addict
Thought I would share pictures of my first betta. He's a very lively and smart veiltail. I adopted him from an ad I found on craigslist and carried him home in his 0.5g bowl the other day (was surprised more people didn't gawk at me, but maybe guys walk around with fish in bowls all the time in Boston).
The next day I transferred him to my planted 10g tank where he is the sole inhabitant (except for a bunch of snails). The Sunday after I transferred him I woke up to discover he had started building a bubble nest (he has maintained it for the last two weeks). I captured him blowing a bubble into the nest. Unfortunately, I am very much an amateur with the camera and managed to capture a reflection of the lens and the flash to boot. Shield your eyes. If you are not blinded, you can see the "OOM" in zoom reflected on the glass
Shortly after that picture, he discovered that I was playing photographer. Here he is turning towards me saying "hey, no pictures":
In this third picture, he's decided to kill me. It's a bit blurry because I am falling away from the tank in terror and snapped the picture before I was to be devoured:
I think I may have caught him in mid-flare, a bit difficult to tell really. Fortunately, he spat my camera out after the attack; guess it didn't agree with him. Hope you enjoy~
