I'm sorry the names of the plants completely escape me. I'm adding a liquid C02 to the water daily, I didn't want to invest in an expensive Co2 system straight away as I assumed it wouldn't go very well!

No worries - I spotted a very similar plant in my LFS today and wrote down the name, I think it might be Alternanthere rosaefolia.  Might give it a try myself!

They've done really well, the tall plant on the left seems to grow incredibly fast, I'm cutting 5-6inches a week off it and it just comes back with reinforcements! The broad leaf plants are being attacked by snails at the moment so this weekend I need to either take some out or get something to eat them.
