Firemouths tankmates?

hey,
I have a spare 65gallon tank which used to hold some lizards. i've gotten rid of the lizards and now plan to put a pair of firemouths in it. i think that the tank would be a bit empty with only the firemouths so i am looking for ideas for some tankmates. Any ideas?

Rainbow fish can make great companions for them. They grow large enough that you don't have to worry about them being eaten, and they keep to themselves. Plus they are very attractive fish that can give a nice schooling aspect to your tank.

hey mitch I have been told in the past that you can not fish in a tank after reptiles have been in that tank I am not 100 percent sure though I think that it maybe something that LFS tell people so that they buy more tanks. I am going to suggest a few fish though it all depends what your personal prefrences are.

what about adding silver dollars i have them mixed with my firemouths

silver dolars sound alrigtht. do they need any special requirements? how many could i keep in the tank with the firemouth pair?
