Firemouths compatibility

Just a quick question really, I was in th epet shop today and saw some firemouths. I don't know anything about them really I have a 4ft 42 gallon tank (UK) with the fish i have in my tank (in sig)

Would a firemouth or a pair work in my tank?

Or is it a crazy idea!!! big blood bath?

2 Bristle Nose plecos
2 Clown loaches
1 Zebra pleco
4 Ram's
2 Kribs
1 Khuli loach

When the firemouth reches 6 inches the kuhlis ay become spaghetti, and the rams can't really defend themselves. Those would be the only things to worry about

what kind of rams? ive had hardy bolivians. i dont think that firemouths are the feeder eating type, but khuli loaches might be spaghetti. try getting some smaller firemouths you gotta learn from trial and error with cichlids

They are 4 bolivian rams, a smaller firemouth? it would grow in the end though, the bolivians are quite hardy but don't know if they would stand up to a firemouth..........I had to take my blue german rams back to the shop as they were attacking the bolivian rams!!!!

i don't think firemouths are the feeder eating type

I've had 1.5 inch ones chase down guppies. But every fish would if it had the chance (that includes my Curviceps who recently passed away)

i have kept a firemouth and a krib

and they did not get on well at all

the crib kept on harassing the firemouth chasing it for ages then the firemouth would get mad and flare its gils and the krib would bolt

other ppl may keep them sucsessfuly but mine hated each other so the krib went back to the shop

I've kinder healt back from purchasing Firemouths for my tank. I just have a bad feeling about it.
