Firehead Cichlids

Just picked up two 1.5" fireheads.Anyone have any experience with these?They look like they will be very colorful and big,with a bit of attitude.Any help would be appreciated

Hello mate, yes i used to have a breeding pair, you reply is correct if they kept in the wrong condition's.....tell us abit about the tank...

withany cichlid's you will need rock's/wood/plant's best plastic with these type of cichlid's,may get away with real....
They will dig hole's in the gravel so don't be shocked if you find cretor's appearing....If you can reply to first part the question's, then we can help about tank mate's etc

Right now they are in a 75 with 2 piranhas,2 red devils,6 exodons.there is a lot of structure,drift wood,scull,shells,cave,etc.I'm using a emperor 400 filter, bubbler,900 maxi-jet powerhead.I do realize as they get larger,tank size will have to be reviewed.They seem to be having fun swimming through all the bottom structure.

Yes,my piranhas are so lame,had them for 4 years,believe it or not it is a very quiet tank.The more I learn over the years I believe the exodons actually keep the tank calm.Never any casualties.
