I downloaded it at work today, and am on it right now... Seems good, although not a huge improvement (at least on the outside) from 1.5. No complaints though

I'll just stick with the one i'm running now. Works perfectly..and I don't feel like downloading it..further adding onto the space taken up on the computer lol.

seems ok, maybe faster on the redraws. thing with opensource software is they need you to upgrade, thats how they improve the product. lol its free, seems a bit silly to check it teeth!!

I am far more happy at discovering that there is a flash 9 beta for linux (at last!).

Not impressed at the lack of the backspace key taking me back instantly though.

I haven't switched yet but will probably do so in the near future. I'm usually leery of new versions of software and tend to take a wait and see attitude. I guess that comes from using Microsoft crapware all these years. I expect Mozilla will get it right though and don't anticipate any problems with v2.0

And very little done under the hood too. FireFox 3 will be a major change under the hood, they did not include much work they have been doing since 1.5 in 2. I can't wait till 3 comes out, I will be able to do my extensions in python 8) JavaScript is so limited in what it can do.

I did get into work today and found my computer running extremely slow, because Firefox 2.0 was taking up 680mb of memory. Could have been one of the webpages I had open, or it just has a memory leak or something, who knows, it was annoying.

firefox doesnt use much memory at all right not im reading 13 in the task manager and i have 5 tabs open

Like I said, could have had something to do with a webpage I had open, and I did have a lot of tabs open. Certainly not anything that would make me switch from Firefox, just annoying.

had loads of probs with the new firefox, everytime it updates something goes wrong!! cant cut & paste now!! gonna install opera, anyone use it??

I quite like the new Firefox. Not much different to the old one but meh. I assume its got better spy ware and crap blocking then the older versions.
