I have a 40l cycled tank with 6xblack widow tetras, 3xpeppered cory's and 3xalbino corys. I'm going to add 6xcardinal tetras then finish with a centre piece fish(es). I'm kind of thinking a siamese fighter would be good or dwarf gourami.

Any ideas/suggestions so I can research now?!?!?

Its what i have read on here and what people on here recommend

:good: im not an expert im only a novice and i had around the same amount in my tank as per your site and my fish got a disease that wiped out all but 2

so now i work on 1" per gallon give or take the odd inch :good:

yeah i would go by the 1 inch per gallon rule. my brother once stocked 3 gldfish in a 15 gallon (i almost strangled him) and then in about a week or two they all died

Okay well I have the option of taking the black widows back to lfs so that is always an option to avoid overstocking. But what about advice on the centrepiece?!?! That was the point of my thread!!!

The dwarf gourmi would be a good idea i love mine also a fighter would be good but everyone i know including me have them die after a short while mine lasted 4-5 weeks

i also love my german blue rams they have only just started to come out today after a tank make over :good:
