Just thought i'd let everyone know (because im exceedingly happy) that i finaly have my new tank up and running with the two golds in it. I felt awful for them being in a 15 litre tank :( and mum wouldnt let me upgrade their accomodation, so 1 year down the line i've managed to pester my mum into letting me buy a bigger tank and so i've got a Juwel Rekord 800 (110 Litres!) and my room is in a happy mood, the new tank has been sorted out, everything has been checked and the fish are now in it. I love it  i even put some plants in it (hopefully they wont decemate them although no doubts they will). The cats not to pleased though as the new tank has a lid on it :good:

Also i was just wondering if maybe i could add a couple minnows? I know my lfs sells them and i think theyd make a nice little extra in there.

(will add pics later tonight)

i hate to tell you this but if you have normal goldfish (not fancys) your going to need to upgrade again soon.

or if you have fancies you should be fine just keep up with the water changes. and dont add any more

Was thinking of moving the common onto a person with a pond (if i can find someone with one big enough) or to someone with a massive tank, but i gotta keep my moor she's ace and went from jet black to a stunning metallic orange.

Also, this may sound like a dumb question, but do you think the damage may already have become irreversible interms of them being stunted? they were kept in the 15ltr tank for 3 years god knows how they made it to 5 and 8 inches (ish), will they get any bigger now they've got the space to grow to a proper size or is that it?

well they are not necesarilly stunted - they may still grow...I know a lot of fish that lived in bowls for some yrs started to grow very fast after being put in a pond...
