Hello 👋

I'll try to keep it short as I kind of half introduced myself on another post. I used to keep tropical fish but sadly had to give everything away due to a move and circumstances back in 2017. It was a really tough decision as I'd spent a lot of time and money and got very attached to the hobby. I couldn't get rid of the itch though! Now circumstances have changed, I've been daydreaming about starting back up lol. So I finally made the decision and bought a Roma 240! It's actually still sat on the floor as I'm doing all my research before I even put the cabinet for it together! I'm going for quite a heavily planted tank if I can so I'm looking at all my options. When I started keeping fish I was clueless and I was literally thrown into the deep end (not the tank thankfully haha.) I learnt an unbelievable amount as I had only been keeping them since 2014 before I had to move. So this time I'm fully clued up on fishless cycling/testing. I had a Co2 kit last time so I understand all that too. Still I'm going to be taking this very slowly. It'll probably be a couple of months before I actually have any fish after planting and cycling. So excited though! Oh and I'm in the North East of England so another hello to any locals! :)

In Whitley Bay, you probably have soft water which is perfect for tetras. Looking forward to read how the tank progresses - you could always start a journal in the Journal section to record your progress :)

It's going to be slow progress lol. I've been held up as I'm decorating the living room and that took so much longer than expected! So I'll be finally starting the tank next week. I've had the tank two weeks tomorrow and it's torture seeing it there waiting to be started  I'll have a look at the journal section thanks. :)

Hi and welcome to TFF. Hopefully, you'll post some pictures of the tank once you've set it up.
