Not to good on fish sizes but 2 of each.

Ok, the USD are gregarious so a group is best, preferable 3+, its the same with the Corydoras, Rainbows, Tetras and Kuhli Loaches. As for the Plecs and Gouramis that is up to you, you could get more, male/female in both groups. I personally would buy more than one Gourami, normally a male and some females but that is likely to overstock your tank. Good luck.

I remember when I first started out, I had a fish list.

I got a few from the list , and I think its great to plan every stage of your aquarium , but when you get in the LFS its a different story.

Other fish that were not on your list, begin to catch your eye . Then availability of fish you wanted my be hard to find .

I wanted a upside catfish so bad when I started out and still do, have not seen one since a began back in March/April!

So my advice is use it as guide, but dont be suprised when you alternate from original list . Good luck

Is your tank set up?

Nope my tank isnt setup. Im getting the stand and all the chemicals and sedentary and stuff so that i can begin cycling it.Im doing all the research so that I do this the right way and not cut corners you know? Im a lil bit of a perfectionist Anyway Yeah i know what you mean about goin to the LFS and seeing all the fish..I went to 3 stores this weekend and i saw these fish live and it definatly made it easier to choose.

If you getting sparkling gouramis I think it might be an idea to get a few, as they are so small and timid? maybe 3-4? More if you have space.
