Fin Nipper

I have two guppies with fins that have clearly been nipped. I can't figure out who the culprit is. All the other fish are perfectly fine. It's just these two white guppies. Any idea how I can catch the bully? How about helping their fins repair?

Are you sure it's fin picking and not fin rot? Some pictures would help.

Hi and welcome to the forum

How long has the tank been set up for?
How often do you do water changes and how much water do you change?
Do you gravel clean the substrate when you do a water change?
Do you dechlorinate the new water before adding it to the tank?

Have you checked the water quality for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate & pH?
If yes, what were the results (in numbers)?

How big is the tank (length x width x height)?
What other fish are in the tank?

As stated earlier, a list of your current aquarium stock would be of great assistance in helping us help you find the culprit.
Male Guppies Male Bettas, and other longfin fish are more prone to developing finrot without any nipping from other fish, due both to the long fins being more likely to snag on rough decorations, and the fact that long finned fish have poorer blood circulation at the ends of their fins than fish with the original, wild type versions.
Sometimes this can result in spontaneous finrot from poor water quality, with an injury not even being necessary to start it.
