filtration

hey fish friends,
my friend is setting up a 188 litre tank and was wondering if 700 litres per hour is enough filtration. He doesn't know what is going in yet but does this sound about right?

i would say go for at least 1000/litres per hour for something that size.

also what filtration would you recomend for my new 230 litre?
probably going to have cichlids.
