filtration with sand substrate

I let my gravel sit in a bucket in a shed, and another covered bucket outdoors for 2 years in Texas heat and cold to get rid of those snails. I'll pass. thank you though

ah, used to have a problem with snails, idk why but they are under control now

One bucket of gravel still had a couple of snails, moved the yoyo loach in there, and he got the snails then ate my baby Albino BN's. I hope he got all the snails, about to move my last male into that tank, and I kicked the loach back to the hex. He is a Snowmageddon refugee that needs to go back to my daughters
