Filters

I am sorry if this question is so dumb that it makes you guys laugh, but honestly before today, I have only known of the filters that hang on the back of a fish tank. If I want to set up an optimum enviroment for my fish what sort of filtration would I need? And also what are all of the different types of filtration systems and what makes each unique enough that they could be used in differnet situations? Thanks

Thats not such a dumb question, as there are a few different types of filtration, and each person has their favorite for different reasons. Take a walk through the Hardware section and read some of the posts in there (as well as the "Pinned" post on Bio-Wheel filters ) and if you still have any questions about filters I would recomend posting them in the Hardware section, you'll probably get more informed responses than I have provided here
