can i use my fluval 105 external filter and internal fluval plus 2 filters in a 4ftx2ftx2ft tank? lots of plants and a few fish?

Yes you can, but you'd have to do a little bit more waterchanges than usual!

Go ahead and use them, it beats starting a new cycle, but add in a filter more suited to a tank that size. A 120 gallon plus tank is going to need a good sized canister to keep up with the biological load.
