i have a 125. im currently moving and want to upgrade the setup. it has 2 aquaclear 500's in it now. did well when i had oscars, pirahna and whatnot. in my apt i have my 40 breeder with a cannister filter and love it. from the looks i would have to spend like $300 on a filter for this tank. im interested in maybe building one but im not sure about using a wet/dry since i have small kids and a water crazy cat.
suggestions?

you said you like canister filters than here is a good one for you and it is under 300 dollars rena filstar model xp3 the price i am looking at right now is 169.99 the filter is a350gph and is good for up to 175 gallon. i recomend petsolutions .com for this filter that is the magazine im looking at and it is a good one for larger tanks . annother one is marinedepot.com good luck to you.

i actually have an xp2 on my 40 breeder. i love it. basically i have a petco, petsmart, and a exotic pet store by me. they carry the usuall and the exotic is about $50 more on most things. but they do hve better fish. just put a bid on a xp4. crossing my fingers.
