I know that bettas in general like calm water. I am wondering if anyone knows of a website that is fairly cheap, in the US where i can purchase one.

My Betta live in a ten gallon tank.

Also, I need a tank cover and was wondering if this was any good...

That cover looks fine for your 10gal.

As I'm in the UK I don't know of places in the US to buy filters but you could try ebay. Sponge filters are very good or a normal type internal filter that you can adjust the strength of the flow and/or direct it towards the back of the tank.

As long as you use an appropriately-sized filter, it shouldn't be a problem at all. When I had a 10 gallon, I was running a marineland power filter here and it worked out fine. Bettas don't dislike water movement, you just need to make sure they can escape it when they want to. If you set up the filter on one end of the tank, it will work out just fine. You will likely even see your betta playing in the current, but don't tell the people who say bettas hate water movement that.

art deco nano filters do good IMO...but the current can be kinda rough depending on your tank and betta. they have flow adjusters but it can still put out a good turnover on the slowest one

edit: that first sponge filter looks great...i would like to get a few
