Filter!

i have a mechanical filter that has a build in water pump to. it has a extra add-on that makes the current less. without it the current is too strong and with it it doesnt really clean the tank. should i get another filter an/or move the filter to a particular spot? at first i had it in the centre without the add-on but i thought it would be better for the fish so i put it at the side

I am not sure but it sounds like your filter is too powerful for your tank. Most filters create a current in the tank (otherwise they wouldn't filter all of the water), but if its shooting stuff around the tank its obviously too powerful. If there isn't a way to slow down the rate on the filter I would start looking into a new filter or your tank its going to have problems.
