Filter Transition

What's the best (and preferably the easiest) way to get my bigger better filter up and running and cycled? Can I just move the media over? Or would the uncycled media get in the way? Thanks!

You are correct, moving the media across would be the best option.

Should I try and get the old sponge in there too?

Get as much old media in there as possible this includes cutting sponges if possible, you want the old media to be the 1st thing the water hits as it enters the filters this will help seed the rest

Get everything in there! If you have to remove some of the new stuff then do so!

Had to go at it with scissors but its up and running now. To say the flow is stronger than my fluval 105 was would be an understatement, I've had to remove some plants!
