Filter Sponge

Hi can anyone tell me if i need to take out my poly/carbon sponges if im going to put plant fertiliser in the tank. (TROPICA PLANT NUTRITION AND EASY LIFE EASYCARBO)

Try to avoid the carbon filter pads where possible if dosing ferts as they can absorb some of the chemicals, however sponge filters are fine.
