Filter Seeding

Hi everyone

Yesterday i put a new fluval one in a cycled tank along side a mature filter to seed the new one, does anyone know approximately how long it will take?

i think about 2 week would be sufficeient.

ccould you possibly put some media from the old filter into the 1+

Physically transfer either some of the media, or squeeze (in the case of a foam element) or "wash" out the old media next to the new filter, so it sucks in the gunk... it will seed within days
