Is an aquaclear filter mini too much for a betta in a 2 foot tank? I got 6 cories in there too. I don't want the betta to stress out, but yet i want enough filtration to keep my cories healthy. What should i do with filtration? i currently have a sponge filter but have been advised to either go for UGF, box filter or HOB... i got no idea. Please help!

Just try it and see. All betta are dfferent so your's may love the current...or hate it. If he hates it you can wrap the intake in sponge to slow down the flow.

thx for the replies
But what i want to know is, is my sponge filter inadequate filtration for the fish i have in my tank? I am currrently doing 2-3 water changes a week.

my rule of thumb is: if they're not dying, they're fine

of course, this doesn't always work, but remember that the substrate also holds bio filteration, as well as decorations...with the water changes, it is probably enough
