filter question?????

i found out my poor little fishie has "ich" so after removing him what do i need to do to the filter? does it need a new insert thingy? also what is the best for cleaning the 2.5g tank? what works best for you? thanks

If you have carbon in the filter cartridge, remove the carbon. As for the replacing the filter cartridge, I've heard some people do remove it after illness and some don't. Someone else could provide more insight on that one for you

What works best for cleaning my 2.5 gallon tanks is doing 10% water changes two to three times a week. I tried larger water changes, but the fish seemed more stressed by this so I switched to the smaller more frequent water changes. I vaccum part of the gravel during one water change, then during one of the other water changes I pull out the plants and cave and vaccum under there.
