Hi guys, just setting up a spare fish tank. My first mounted filter (Aqua one Clearview 100). Is the water supposed to be pumped in to this container? Not sure why there’s no water in there and hours later got loud motor sounds .

Did you fill it up with water?
You have to fill it up with water before turning on the switch.
It won't be able to start without water.

If the filter has no water, it may damage the motor.

If the filter has no water, it may damage the moto do you mean I have to put some water in the unit or the tank ? The tank got water filled in before I switched on the filter . But I didn’t put water in the filter unit. Do I have to ?

I just filled in some water. It works perfectly now . Haha feel so silly that I didn’t put the
water in it.😅
