Filter Media

hey all,

i recieved my new tank just wanted to know is it wise to only use live rock as filter media ?

i wanted to use live rock in my overlfow,then where the water flows into the sump use live rock as well,maybe a sandbed with smallest crushed coral i have and some caulerpa,the next chamber is the skimmer the and then use a sock with carbon and sock with rowaphos ?

is that ok ?
