Filter causing cloudy water -
I had an internal filter in my 70L tank and it was very very cloudy (following plant rearrangement/changes which interrupted the substrate) even after using water clearer solutions and water changes for about a week.
I then moved my external canister filter from my 25L tank to my 70L (it’s big enough to deal with 70L) and my internal filter from my 70L to my 25L. My internal filter is a bit too small to properly deal with 70L so I thought that might be the issue even though I’ve been cleaning it every other day.
Within an hour my 70L had cleared with the new filter and my 25L had gone very very cloudy and still is cloudy 24 hours+ later.
I have cleaned all areas of my internal filter that I can access.
Any ideas why my filter is causing this issue?
Both tanks are very well established and haven’t had this issue before.
