I suppose the fluval can be 'okay' depending on your standards, if you want crystal clear water, not just clean water, then this is not what you want, go for the AC instead

I love the fluval internals, easy to clean and quiet (+ series). I have also just got the U series and that is really good too and even easier to change filter pads and clean although the filter floss is sewn into the carbon pads which may get annoying.

I voted fluval 3 +. Never had any problems with my fluval and keeps my water in great condition

IMO, Fluval offer the best internal filter on the market Shame the quality doesn't streach as far as their exturnals though
