Hi, does anyone know what material this is made from? Am i right in thinking that this is polyester?

Does anyone know where i can buy this in bulk direct from the manufacturer. I know you can get like 50m rolls of this on ebay for around £30, but i am thinking this is quite expensive. Are we just paying for the 'aquatic' make there?

Anyone have any ideas??

Filter floss is 100% spun polyester. You might find it for sale in a craft store while being called pillow stuffing. I've found the identical product, even made by the same manufacturer, on sale this way. Craft stores are more apt to have "specials" on this than lfs are, so if you're looking for a bargain, look here.

Take care though that the product you buy is pure polyester. It should not be treated with any kind of fireproofing or be blended with cotton or other fiber. This might be good for making stuffed toys, but is not recommended for aquarium use.
