Can anyone tell me if and where i can buy sheets of the filter floss pad material for the tetratec? i thought i could save money by getting a large sheet and cutting it down to size to fit my ex700

Ive also been thinking about this, would it be possible to use cotton wool, same stuff used to remove womens make up?????? If so id save a few pounds and just nick the stuff my girlfriend has hehe.

neil.

I don't know how big yours are but I used to buy these from eBay for my aquaone 850

Ebay item number 250513604223

Just get a roll of pillow stuffing, polyester fiber fill, that is not rated as safe for children. The stuff rated safe for children has that rating because of fire retardant chemicals that have been added to the polyester fibers.

Hi , I couldn't source the pads locally so used filter floss , spread it out in the tp basket and put the carbon pad on top of it , it slowed the flow down a touch , nothing dramatic though and gives a nice polished finsh to the water....... :good: :good:

I have done extensive research into this.... ALL UK suppliers ONLY sell "wadding" (as its called) that has been treated with fire retardant... I used to use this, and recommended it wholesale - but since loosing some stock, I decided to investigate. :/

If WELL rinsed, it is reasonably stable - but I no longer use it, and cannot recommend it, sorry !
