Filter Fiber

It was suggested to use filter fiber instead of the disposable filter cartridges in my penguin 350. I picked some up but my question is how do I put it in there? Just put a wad of it where the water will flow through? Thanks.

Filter floss comes in two basic forms. One is kinda like cotton and the other is more rigid. The latter is basically the same sort of nylon batting you can also get at fabric depts/stores and can be cut to shape. If you go the fabric store route, be sure it is not treated w/ mold inhibitors etc.

The more rigid floss will be easier to work with in your filter.
