filter carbon

i recently put some black diamond carbon into my filter and some of it got out and floated to the bottom of the aquarium. do you think this will matter or will it be ok?

yes, its still in the water column when its in the filter so doesnt make any difference

Not sure it makes any difference, but I would move it back to the filter if possible. I'm not sure I'd want any of my fish picking it up "to see if it tastes good."

yeah its just wierd because i thought it was supposed to stay in the filter but some got out.

Put it back in the filter as carbon has to have flowing water over it to work so I read somewhere.

keep in mind active carbon isn't so active after a couple of weeks.
