Filter Bubbles

Filter has bubbles coming out of it and sounds like its making a trickling water noise, which is annoying me.

Any ideas on how to stop these?

Give it a shake, it might have air trapped in it. Sit it lower in the water and it should stop the trickling.

Look for possible air intrusion points in the filter inlet tubing. An air leak anywhere in the inlet side of the filter shows up as bubbles in the return.

i had excactly the same on my xp3, where the inlet bends over the tank and connects to the down pipe was a bit loose, i put some black electrical tape round it and, hey presto problem solved
