Filter And My Frog

Yesterday and today when I woke up I found my frog alive but his leg was stuck in the filer pipe. I have had him for a while and it has never happened before. His leg is red, what can I do to make him better. I was also wondering ehat I could put and how around the filter pipe so it does not happen again. thanks.

you could put a small bit of stocking and a tie wrap or rubber band to hold it n place

this will prevent anything from getting in.

as for the legs, frogs can regrow parts that are broken, so i wouldn't worry about that. it should heal up fine or regrow

they can regrow them!? i rescued a little african dwarf from the store a few days ago coz he didnt have any feet sadly he died, but its interesting to know incase i ever find another. i thought just a bit of melafix and he'd heal over and live without feet! had no idea they could've regrown!

i though frogs and salamanders and such could regrow organs, kind of like a lizard regrows its tail...

maybe i was misinformed?

frogs can probably regrow limbs when they are tadpoles.

He said tadpoles whose tails were amputated grew them back in nine days, but they lost their regenerative ability after becoming frogs.
