I have bought a aqua manta efx 400 for 350 litre tank I am wanting a filter to run with it and also be a spair incase anything ever goes wrong has anyone ever had any aqua manta filters before are they any good any filter recommendations money is not a problem just want best filtration possible cheers

Ok just to clarify, you have a 350 litre tank and bought an EX400, suitable for tanks upto 400 litres, to go with it. Now you want an additional filter plus a spare?

What are you planning to keep in it that needs so much filtration?

I'm nit sure what I am going to keep yet and I just want another good filter to run and use as a spair incase something goes wrong with one then I have another one still running I have transferred my fish from my old tank with includes 1 red tail shark 4 tiger barbs 2 angel fish a bristle nose plec and a sysnasotis catfish help on more stocking would great cheers

Well there's nothing wrong with having two filters on the tank if you have the money to spend but it doesn't sound like it's completely necessary to me but its your cash.

You'll get a few different opinions from people on their preferences on filters but my view would be to get them all the same, that way they should all run at the same rate, as well has having inter-changeable parts should you need to swap anything around. Since you already have one Aquamanta why not get two more?

Hi

I have an EFX 1000 from aqaumanta and have to say its pretty good very quiet and easy to maintain so a thumbs up from me.

Cheers guys well I very we'll might do I think they do a option with a built in uv for like 15 pound more but I have just stumbled across a fluval 405 in my cupboard went to fire here up to test and it is leaking from the top were canister joins together looks at seal seems ok anyone know of this is fixable ? Thank you for the advice you people are great

Might have to replace the rubber band that seals it. Other than that make sure it's lubricated.
