Hi guys I will be getting a new 3ft tank (36 inches x 18 inches x 18 inches) on the weekend and will be setting it up for a fishless cycle

What filter would you recommend I use for my new tank?

as for fish I am going to stock my tank (after completed fishless cycle) with my Tiger Barbs from my 75 litre tank and I will also get some more Tigers to add,

and I'm not too sure if I am going to add any other fish yet I will also have live plants in my tank

so if you could please give me advice on what type of filter to get that would be great :) also I was thinking bout getting one on ebay as they are cheaper than the LFS do you think this is a good idea?

sorry this is off topic but shipping for the betta through the transhipper ended up being 30 bucks..but it's worth it to get a quality non-pet store fish

Great thanks for letting me know I think I am just going to do it I am so scared he will turn up dead but he is so beautiful.... so I think I am just going to bite the bullet and bid on him.:)
Thankyou is this an inside or outside the tank filter?

its a canister filter. XP2 will work too but might as well overfiltrate while your at it :)

simple, its fully enclosed (sealed tight), it is set under the tank, water is siphoned in. Water flows through media, then is pumped back through another tube into the tank. Quite easy to set up and has a very big media compartment. Very good filter.

It is a bit expensive but its good, i highly doubt it but petsmart MAY still have a sale on it, code is XP3XP4 for either the xp3 or 4, XP1XP2 for the first and second model.
