Just wondering you pepoles expirience with the filstar Xp3

I have had my Filstar xp3 for almost a year on a 55 gal tank. Love it. No problems and easy to clean. I order supplies from Drs Foster and Smith as catalogue shopping is so much less expensive than lfs.

I have an XP2 and an XP3 running on a 100 gal. tank since April. I absolutely love them! For the price and performance, you can beat 'em! Use filstar as your search word on ebay. You can usually find one there cheaper than if you order from an online store.

the latest practical fishkeeping is reviewing a range of filter, xp3 included. One negative thing about the XP3 was the noise levels on some older versions.

I have a Filsar XP3 running on my 70 gal along with a Fluval 203. I cant fault it and it certainly isnt noisey. I recently bought a pack of 3 different grades of filter foam from my lfs and cus them to fit the filstar. They cost me £9.00 and I managed to get 3 complete sets of foam out of them, just a tad cheaper than buying the pukka Rena foam

Just turned my Xp3 on I cannot hear it - it is located under my tank - so latest practical fishkeeping is review does'nt reflect my XP3 (and not the new design)
