Last night I did a 25% water change because I have just finished an Ick treatment. I noticed it then but it is much worse this morning. There is some sort of film covering the surface of the water. If you look at it from the top, it looks like to water is cloudy but looking in the tank from the side, the water is perfectly clear.
Is this the Ick medication or something totally different.
How do I get it off. I'd imagine its depleting them of oxygen somewhat.

Provided your water looks good and has good test reults, it really isn't anything to worry about. It's something that happens every so often, extra protein in the water...blah, blah... science...

Generally, there are a couple things to do. You've already done the water change, you can increase the surface agitation (powerheads, more output from filter, etc.), and/or you can take a paper towel and skim it across the surface of the water to pick up the oils...

If you use a lot of flake food you might want to cut back and supplement with another type of food for a bit if the film becomes a problem for you. I've found that to be helpful on my own tanks.
