Figuring Out Your Females Tail Type

veiltails don't have more then 2 rays, she has fairly straight caudal edges, though her tails a bit mishapen, she may just be a poor example of a delta. Or what you might refer to as a single tail.

She's definately a Veiltail, not one bit close to a delta or a poor example of one. A delta would not have such a small span even if it's a "lesser quality" type.

ive been trying to get one of her with fins spread but she wont sit still long enough to get a decent photo. her anal fin is very short and quite "square"

Celes looks like a Super Delta to me. And a very beautiful one, at that

blue_betta, she would be a plakat and a very nice one too! I've never seen a cambodian female PK.

kairi, yours is a super delta(SD). I had one similar to her with the same masking too.

I still have one question though: how can I tell a veiltail and a crowntail apart? You only mention the rays, and unfortunately no pictures of a female crowntail.....
