Yes this is just me shamelessly showing off my beautiful puffery boy but why not eh?

And there's a video of him here

Hope that link works, I'm not so good with videos (or resizing photos as you may have guessed)

He looks lovely I have just purchased my first figure eight to go with my 3 green spotted puffers and they all get along really well. A great addition to any tank they are so cute to watch

They're such little sweethearts, I'm totally in love with this little guy, as is everyone that's met him so far. I'd never have thought of keeping figure eights and green spots together but I guess their requirements are pretty similar so as long as they get on I guess it works. I was offered a green spot instead of this guy because they couldn't get hold of figure eights for a week or two but the tanks really not big enough for  a green spot

I'm hoping to get some bumble bee gobies to live with him as well but need to add some more hiding places before I do. Eventually I'd like to have a much larger tank and have a few more figure eights but at the moment I don't have the room for anything much bigger

I have 7 gobies in a separate tank I took thm out because 8 died mysteriously now I am not accusing the puffers but they would be favourites. my gobies are very hard to feed because they are too slow so rarely get any food. I am thinking of creating a species tank for gobies and another one just for puffers

Oh no! That's a pity. I'm hoping the F8's smaller size and the fact there's only one of him will give the gobies a fighting chance in my tank

They should be fine but my oldest puffer is about 4 inches now with 1 tooth lol as 1 broke off but I am in two minds whether to turn the tank into brackish and add the gobies again still not sure at least they would probably get their share of food. at the moment the gobies are in with platys and so seem to starve as they never compete for food as they want the food to flow past their nose the lazy so and so,s. Good luck anyway

Thanks! Might be worth a shot putting them back in with the puffers if they're not eating so well in with the platys anyway
