fighter question

my tank is below......i have male and female fighter for a few months.they seem happy and strong...then they die within a day or two of each other.
i get a couple more and the same happens!
my ph and nitrate is normal and all other fish are ok.
any thoughts please ??

I have never kept bettas but I know that people rarely keep a male and a female together all the time and only allow them together if they are breeding them.

Have you tested amonia and nitrIte as well as nitrAte? Amonia and nitrIte are more poisonous that nitrAte.
