Few Questions.

A few questions about the new fish I've introduced to my tank. Is it normal for Mollies to chase each other? I can't work out if its playful or aggressive, they're both males and at times will happily swim around with each other but at times will dart across the tank chasing the other. There's no fin shredding or biting and they're not aggresive to the other fish in my tank (3 Platys and 1 Male Betta)

Another question, whats the ideal group size for Mollys? I have a 20 Gallon tank at the moment and I want to add 8-10 neon tetras and another Molly ideally. Would 3 male mollys together be a disaster? I know that a 2:1 Male to female ratio would result in the female being harassed.

Following on from this question, what would be the best way to add the 10 Neon tetras? I know they like groups of 8+ to shoal but I've read you should only add 3 fish at a time.

If your tank and filter is mature then adding 5 neons one week and 5 the next won't be an issue. Bare in mind that mollies can reach a fair size, so don't go basurk with them. 3 females would have been a better choice imo.

I was planning on 3 Mollies maximum, regarding the males I asked another forum whether an all male or all female molly group would have been better and the consensus was all male. Thanks on the tetra advice.

IME the only reason to buy all male Mollies would be to avoid buying any fish that are already pregnant and in turn overstock your tank with fry. My female livebearers have always been very placid with each other. All depends on the individual fish's temperament and personality.

They're fine at the moment, but if I see fin tearing I'll separate them
