I'd like to cover the underside of my tank lid with tin foil, one for reflection, but more importantly, the tank lid is wood and it's getting icky... what is the best thing to stick it on with?.. and is it safe?

Secondly, I've had my master test kit over a year now - yes I am aware it should have ran out, IF I had been as stringent as I should have been, but anyways, do I need a new one? I think it's still measuring accurately, but I can't be 100% obviously.

Thirdly, I am running 2 x M620 powerheads at the mo on a 180l tank (2400lph turnover each), is it ok to add two Hydor Koralia 1's which turn over 1500lph ? Just checking!

As far as the tinfoil I would suggest something else. Try reflective tape. It is very strong, very reflective, and the adhesive on the back is unbelievably sticky. Heat even up to extremely high temps has little to no effect on it. It's made of a foil like material and any good hardware store should carry it.

Thanks, I'll give that a go... I think that's what we got to go on the underside of our counter top where the integrated dishwasher is. :)

I used on a 10gallon hood with a 26watt retro-fit kit. The before and after is a big difference. Only downside is it's pretty expensive....for tape.

I'll have a look, it's a bigish area too, approx 40" x 14"... so hopefully not *too* expensive! Thanks :good:

This should be plenty...and not a bad price. :good: Ebay

She lives in the UK though ;) ;)

That foil tape's a pretty good idea though, I like it. I'll toss that on the growing list of things to do that are good ideas that I'll never get around to

Haha, thanks for pointing that out. It does work pretty well and gives the inside of your hood that "custom" look.
