Few Questions For Res Set-up

How do I arrange the stuff in the tank for my RES? I have a stack of slate rock high enough so it comes out of the water, but it takes up SO much of the tank. Can I just put a couple of those turtle docks in the water instead, or do they need something different?
Also, can I use 1 clip-on UVB bulb and one clip-on heat lamp? Or even better, one of the UVB-Heat bulbs in a clip-on lamp? Will it need a night-time heat lamp too? It gets down to about 62 at night in the winter. The water will still have a heater in it, though.

well i dont own a res but i do have a missipi map turtles i just use a turtle dock and they love it espically if you put some livemeal worms on it (they let them crawl in the water then dive in after them) but as for the lighting i havent got a clue sorry !
