Few Pics

Looks very nice and cleanly designed

cheers man, i tried to keep it basic but cutting MDF is hard without proper saws. The homebase near me doesnt do board cutting so i was using a hand saw and chairs to make all the cuts then sanding and planing to get straight edges. pain in the bum but a few manly days were had with a pencil behind the ear and lots of hmmmm's and tsk tsk's.

good times

edit: just had a look at your jungle scape. sweet tank
LOL I know how you feel, pencil behind the ear is the equivalent to a degree in carpentry haha
and thanks very much :D

see what you mean about the table... will look brilliant on that stand (nice job by the way!!).
Cheers man

Iv just finished painting the stand and iv put doors on and all. Made a rookie mistake by painting with the doors on. will now have to spend a bit of time scraping the paint off the brazz hinges but now i know for next time, and there will be a next time if i have my way:)

One question, I have access to rubber gasket, should i put this underneath the tank or will the MDF suffice?

I always admire folks who make these stands, looks fab! Much better than the ones you often get from the actual tank manufacturers :)

Finally finished the stand!!!! spent all last night moving and cleaning stuff. When i originally set the tank up on the coffee table i put it facing the wrong way around and there was a big scratch on the glass annoying me the past 6 months. Its the right way round now with perfect optiwhite glass:)

Added a nano power head and plumbed in new pipework and added glass intake and out take for filter. Thing is the plastic hoses going into the pvc pipes seem to kink unless it is not straight so for now they are at angles:) but will fix that soon.

Tried to set up my Fe C02 system but found a load of leaks in the regulator so going to buy a new reg instead of trying to fix the one i have. The threads are stripped from previouse use as its a mig welders Reg.

Also added a Bristlenos to my stocking

Stock: 6 bronze corys
3 neon tetras
1 Guppy
1 bristlenose pleco

Lots of anubias nana
Needle java fern
Red root floater

Going to go EI dosing when i get ferts soon. Also recieved an atomic diffuser from Ebay but C02 delayed as explained:(
What other plants would compliment this scape?

this is looking great mate, the stand is awesome, well done. You really should start a journal in the planted section mate you will get alot more help and advice. If your really serious about making this heavily planted ( you have good lighting and if you are going to add co2 and ferts) I's change the sand substrate to either a chep clay based substrate (tesco cat litter) or a decent (fairly expensive) specialist plant substrate like ADA Amazonia. There are so many plants you could add. A personal favourate of mine is Blyxa Japonica and I would happily send you some if you would be interested in it (it would require co2 and ferts... your lighting is fine for it.)

Like I say if you'd like more help on the planted side, a journal in the planted section would get a lot more help. Top work so far dude
