Just a few pics, mostly naff, still not worked out how to use this camera, might be worth me reading the instruction book at some point :hey:

Picked up the herotilapia multispinosa last night, they've settled in really well - the sevs dont bother them at all either, extremely chuffed :good:

Herbie the L203 gave us a bit of a worry yesterday, stayed on the filter all day - but he moved onto the bogwood late last night when I put in pleco wafers - got up this morning to find him chomping on bogwood with a much fuller tummy

Here with WideBoy the common (chocolate albino), looks are deceiving - WidBoy is about 4" standard length, Herbie is only about 3" total length

Wilf the albino bristlenose tucking into some sweet potato (can you tell they like it?!)

Evil horrible festivum (found out they're attacking the other fish - I thought it was the sevs considering they're 4", but it's these two 2" evil little gits - they're vacating the tank as soon as I can catch the b*ggers)

Evil festivum deliberating on which condiment would go best with rusty plec tail

The still un-named common plec - looking gooorgeous (I love him - he's stunning, he's blacker than it looks in the pics)

Thank you for flying Plec-Air...(common again)

We cover many destinations in the tank...(rusty)

Big tail, little tail...(common and L203)

And finally a really apt picture of the boesmanni, considering how mental they are - there's seven in the tank, but this was the best pic I could get (ignore filthy glass)

When i first started i was told by the lfs that festivum would be ok in my community tank. so i got 4 of them, they ate all my male guppy's and a few of my panchax's before i could pass them on.

Mine are beating up my 4" severums. Bear in mind, these festivums are 2" at most. I'm fairly certain now I've seen their behaviour that they killed my flash plec too. They're horrible evil little gits (I dont mean in general, just these two as I'm sure most are lovely). We just cant catch the little sods, otherwise they'd be back down the LFS now. I might have a friend who wants them, lord knows why....but again, only if we can catch them!

Thanks cane :) I dooo love my pleccies :p

More pleccy pics:

L203, albino bristlenose, common plec - sharing courgette (that Herbie the L203 isn't shy!):

And I forgot to post these earlier - common plec enjoying the sweet potato

The dreaded festivum color change... that one about to attack the plecos tail definitely looks like it's in aggressive mode... only 1 of mine goes crazy like that... bullies the snot out of all the other fish... it almost becomes a totally different fish..

I don't know what brings it on, but it changes color and turns into the devil..

The one that I have has only done it maybe 3 times in the 18 months I've had it.. yours might get over their behavior eventually, but I couldn't tell ya for sure..

Nice plecos too... especially like the albino bristlenose

Thanks :) I thought the colour change might be aggression linked.

Wilf's (albino BN) gorgeous - he's from Littleme, and he's grown into a beaaaaauutiful fella :)

Great pics, and lovely fish too :D Have you got any full tank shots?

Yep here's the tank:

Crap pic I'm afraid, still haven't mastered the camera  It's 6ft x 2ft x 2ft.

Sam - if you ever find the room, they're yours if you want them - they're up for sale again now. Decided to stick with the smaller ones, as the festivums are beating the snot out of the other fish - and it's (I'm afraid to say) put me off keeping big cichlids with my plecs. Someone's going to get a real bargain because I'm letting them for what I paid for them at 1", see classifieds board.

I'm dropping the tank level tonight and removing everything and catching the festivums, the damage they've done in the last couple of days is too much to risk for any longer.

Thanks for all the lovely messages  :D
