Fertilizer?

I was going to say, isn't there a way to use lowlight. Not all plants keep the be blasted with light to thrive. Thanks :)

The tank in the pic in my signature was 0.6WPG of T8!!! for 12 hours with 4 hours at 2.5WPG in the middle.

The picture was taken in the 0.6WPG period.

Excuse my ignorance, but what does "WPG" stand for? Also, what does the T8 Stand for?

WPG is watts per US Gallon. Its the measurement of light for a tank with reflectors i.e. 18W over a 33USG = 0.6WPG.

T8 is the diameter of the lamp in 8ths of an inch so T8 is a 1 inch diameter, T12 is 1½ (12/8) inches and T5 is 5/8ths of an inch.

Generally with reflectors the smaller the T number of the lamp the more light can reflect back to the tank as the lamp is slimmer and therefore block less of the reflected light (this is called restrike)
