I love ferrets! We haven't had any in ages but my parents had some very early on, like 1985. Beautiful creatures, so playful and daring. Once I move out, I will be getting a ferret. My girlfriend is also dying to get one.
Anyhow, anyone else seen wild weasels like a ferret? I have personally witnessed an ermine diving through snow holes on the edge of a ski run. Very agile. The only reason I could track it is because it had a tuft of black hair still. If only I had a camera.
I also watched a show where they showed a small weasel of some sorts owning an endangered bird in New Zealand. Nasty, I would hate to be the bird. If I remember correctly, the weasel stole the nest of eggs and killed the female.
So, I would doubt a ferret would have any issues with a cat unless the ferret was real young and the cat was real aggressive. Ferrets can get vicious if the need arises. Shouldn't worry. Just watch and see what happens.
