Female swordtail switching genders?

I'm very sceptical i and personally don't believe that change sex
My guppy (the only one of her color) gave birth to 28 healthy little fry (lol I still remember because it was weird what happened) a few months later she changed into a male, the only male in the group and fathered a young females fry. The second female had never been with another male so I know it was the one that changed

That is surprising. I never heard about those lil gups changing their sex. I even tried researching this, but never found anyhting..
 
I have not yet witness any sex change in any of my livebearers however female swordtails can take on male characteristics especially in old females they can grow a short sword and some times a gonopodium which will not be functional, the situation with salty&onion swordtail may be it will stay as a female as with some swords can produce a small /tail also when a male starts to sex out its the gonopodium that normally starts to develop first
