Female Endlers

I'm wondering whether my LFS has sold me something I didn't expect. Now that my first batch of Endler fry (born October 2014) males have almost fully coloured up, and the females are starting to look pregnant, I notice they are much smaller (maybe an inch long, just a titch bigger than the males) than the female "Endlers" I was originally sold (almost 2 inches). Will the new ladies continue to get bigger, or are the original females actually guppies?

Could have been either but given that they were from an LFS they were most likely hybrids anyway even if labelled as "Endlers" :)
Female Endlers max. out at about 1.8 inch and female Guppies about 2.5 inch.

I sincerely apologise for the exceptionally poor quality of the photos (I was in a bit of a hurry), but here is a female "original" versus a male and female that I've been lucky enough to raise to (I assume) adulthood. Hopefully the blurs are enough to show the size difference.

What exactly do you mean by this? Are they looking fat or are they showing a gravid spot? Or both? I found that the plain grey females (sold as endlers but actually hybrids) show a gravid spot from quite a young age, it developed around the same age as the males from the same batch of fry started to show colour. They can also start to breed from a very young age. Yours probably still have more growing to do even if they are pregnant.

They are looking fat and also showing a gravid spot. There's also some fry and I don't think the old female has been pregnant or squared off recently, so I assumed it was one of the youngsters, is it not true they can breed within a couple of months? I could be wrong, but when old ma dropped her first batch she was enormous.

They can breed surprisingly young and small but very young females only have a few fry. The number increases as the female grows bigger and older.

You know that male in the first photo Gruntle - That's a Scarlet Endler also called "Scarlet Mini Guppy" as they are Guppy x Endler

I have two in my tank as well as two Snakeskin Endlers or "Snakeskin Mini Guppies"

As for looking at your original female saying whether she was Endler or Guppy, it's really impossible lol. As mentioned, 99% of the "Endlers" in shops are hybrids.
